the only thing i made my self useful at was snoring my head off. I never woke up until after 11

Sure it's just a question of time Dave - if he'd have found another hybrid he'd have been home and dry on Sat

That cut is a fall back contingency plan Joffie - just incase Dead Peg forgets to bring his blow torch and we can't get through the gates of the other un
It's the one you may have crossed on the way back to the club

Great report TK. From the look of the weights, it wasn't really a
. Looks like a spring time result sheet
You are getting too soft with em, putting em on shedfulls like that
I couldn't fish Saturday, so fished Diggers match on the T & M. Thought it would be a good match....how wrong can you be
Spent just over 4 hours trying everything in the book for zero bites, lots of bits of tackle, bait tubs etc being blown all over the towpath, and hanging desperately onto my pole. Couldn't fish past 5-6 metres as it had my pole looking like something Robin Hood was more used to handling
When I packed in with 45 minutes left, there had been 3 perch caught, so if anybody thinks TK's matches are
, then think again

Yep MrV - I thought it was a decent match - no runnaway victor - plenty of bites for most, albeit it small fish as only Josh found a 'stamper' - but that lead to a 'tight match, where anyone was in with a shout.
I was having a chat with Digger after the match on the subject of 'today and yesteryear'.
I think expectations of some - certainly in the depths of winter generally need tempering - those weights, amongst just a few of us, wouldnt have been sniffed at on a lot of matches I fished 20 or 30 years ago. Dare say if it had been a 50 pegger like those of yesteryear a few would have sat on some and there would have been framing weights of 5lb plus.....
Yep I'd have loved to have latched into some skimmers, or done double figures of roach but as an 'organiser' I 'hate' it when one or two 'bag up' whilst the rest scrat around for a bite. It was good to see most having plenty of bites
But it seems - like on a lot of cut venues - if 'double figues' aint come out the talk is 'its crap/the venues gone/aint as no where as good as it used to be' etc etc etc ::)
And as for
You are getting too soft with em, putting em on shedfulls like that
just wait for the next un

Had a bite pretty much every chuck which was most enjoyable, but my lack of prep and rustiness saw many missed bites. Laccy just wasn't right. The future of canal certainly looks good with all those small uns.
