Farmers forecast is not looking too rosy, not always right but the best there is Image
For this area,
Thurs rain showers, not so cold at night, -1 in some exposed places.
Fri and Sat, snow showers in some areas by day (some areas will probably miss them) getting much colder at night, -4 or a touch lower around here.

Sorry about that guys, I don't want it either. Image

Well the Semi is definately going ahead on the supposed date Image Ken not going to put it back cos to many teams have other commitments and we are running into festival season. Which I think is the right decision Image Lets just hope we can get some practicing done, even if it means coming down for 5 days nearer the date Image Image

Well here is the story for Sat Lloydy !
On arrival found Lake partially frozen, some pegs clear, some not.
Neil went out in his boat on some lakes and broke the ice.
The lakes used for the match were Meadow, Match Lake and Canal.
I drew Meadow 57, next to the cafe in the corner.
I had to break the ice before the start but it was clear further up. Wayne Melling drew 53 and it was clear there. He also was end peg on that straight.
At the start, I went in on the bread foot off deck over.
Wayne had one first dob doing the same thing.
To cut along story short Wayne was on a ball of fish that simply would not feed, and foul hooked fish all day, ending with 10 odd in the net for 46lb. This was second in the match.
I had one mirror about 4lb on bread after half hour.
A chub a pound half way through on maggot, then with half hour to go(16m towards Wayne ) got loads of indications on bread and had a common 3lb and lost one foul hooked.
The fish are very tightly packed in area's at the moment, which resulted in alot of blanks.
Match Lake was won with 2 skimmers.
Only a handful of weights, but to be fair it will all depend on the weather so lets hope for a mild spell !
Only 2 more practice matches left so are you going this Saturday ?

Never ever turned up for a semi on day as Tipton take w/l seriously but we may do this year even though venue 20 mins from home(sad really)

Match called off yesterday after the anglers turned up. I like Heronbrook Joff and respect Neil for sticking to his thoughts on ice breaking, think of the money he's lost. It's been the worst winter for years and Neil or Ken couldn't has anticipated that when putting forward/choosing venues but it's now very close to semi date and nobody has a clue whether the weather will break. The playing field needs to be level and all teams need to have the opportunity for equal practice, Tipton have more chance of qualifying on a carp lake if it's a lottery than a fishing match as there are some good carp teams in semi but i would still rather have a fishing match as it is better for fishing. Team fishings in enough trouble. But i wish anglers would come up with positive thoughts to try and make the best of the situation instead of slagging Neil, heronbrook and Ken off on websites(not this one)
