I have always had this problem; sometimes guys have a long way to travel home and with the booze laws as they are and roads it can be quite awkward.
I had over £150 left from practise matches for the Div One. No-one claimed it so we had a curry and ale night in the Junction for those that helped me with the said matches. No problem.
Lee, I think as match organiser you can do what you want and if everyone knows they'll lose their money if nobody picks it up then its their look out.
Like Tony says though its not always possible for people to nip back for a few pints. Quite a few folk on your matches travel an hour or more to and from the venue, on a Sunday night the last thing you want is to be leaving Brum at 6ish and being stuck on the M6 the rest of the night......
Even then though its not hard to make sure someone pick your money up is it.
