With reference to the last comment, when we last visited the fishery but were on the top section (100+) me and Heinzer deliberately missed out a peg (101 I think it may have been) because of the anticipation of moans 'I can't fish it, it's too weedy'

Guess what, next morning there was a match there and the section record went that day, off the very peg we left out............100lb plus

Rain dance not required, just have to get my window cleaning gear out and it

Here you go KOD - the Twyford Country Centre is smack in the middle section - drive through it down to the river. There are signs directing you once in the Centre

We've got pegs 1 - 47 (downstream end).

Whilst it would be logical to put one in, leave the next out etc, I'll have a chat with Stuart to check on what deffo to put in and what deffo to leave out.

Seriously though is it fast flowing, slow, deep, shallow, do you need a pole, feeder or what?

Just to reassure you KOD - this report from Mark (Tigerbay - who might be joining us on Sat) refers to a section about 5 miles down stream

predictions for this match tk? let's hope we dont get any more rain. Still undecided as to my attack yet, alot will depend on the particular peg...suppose gotta prepare for all eventualities.

Double figures to frame - again depends on the man on the day. If KOD draws a beastie peg and they take a liking to his halibutt gobstoppers - who knows !

Rumour has it he's swapped his gear for some golf clubs and is having a walk on Saturday

(No don't say it - 'It'll make a change from walking round the pool')

I'd better see if I can sell his peg for Isaac Waltons to recover the peg fee...............

Put a call into Twyford this afternoon...........river was about 1inch on from normal summer level but slightly pacier

Just depends on what happens in the next 36 hours - s'posed to be a bit of rain heading our way  :'(

If unfishable ie 3 ft on  >:( we can drop on the pool as a back up - but would have to peg around any stalwarts already there.

Being the eternal optimist I'm fully expecting to fish the river...............better get them 4, 6, 8 & 10grm lollypops all tied up
