Theres a few on squatt Bill , Bread is best mate although a lot of lads are sticking with worms and catching odd bonus fish eels, billys and odd hybrids etc even Chub

It's a curates egg of a venue... no fish in front of you and you can't catch like Matty found the week before at the Banana Bridge stick ups where he finished last in section next to the match winner....  

Can be really cruel but it is a reasonably fair venue on the whole.... Honest!!

I know it will never happen and fair enough , 110 anglers on a winter league in the north west is fantastic to say the least I have a good laff every sunday on there even if its a mega struggle, i take my hat off to all the lads that run the wigan W/L and the open matches on the canal. I fished the wednesday open the other week at adlington ....... 51 anglers, you wont find that sort of attendance midweek on a canal anywhere in the country

I found the Wigan guys brilliant on our trips up there in the summer.
