River level had dropped to 1.28 last night, but looks like yesterday's deluges have now come through - river back up to 1 .43 at 9am this morning....

The river level at Drakelow is 1.49 metres.

This measurement was recorded at 12:00 on 09/10/2014. That is a fair old rise in 3 hours.

Still rising, and likely to be for the next 12 hours or so. Plus today and tomorrows rain to got through, therefore,

I think it would be sensible to move the match onto our own extension canal.

There are 15 potential pegs fishable on the Municiple, but once the colour gets in it would be impossible to know where the weed beds etc are, and I personally think it would make for a very difficult match for everyone.

Don't turn up too early at doggers bridge tomorrow whilst you may get the best parking space you may also attract other attention.

Gents , for your info , last Sunday I fished the Extension near the boat wides and caught a few - just as I was putting my tackle in the car to go a hatchback pulled up and the occupant enquired of me " Eh mate is this where the dogging goes on ? " - I was too shocked to speak but the astonished look on my face told him enough and he sped off !!! Tight lines

Sounds like a few members are 'upset' at the switch from the river to the cut :shifty :shifty :shifty

Phil B has bought a new whip to fish the river

OBI has got a new bait apron that wont see the light of day now till next season

But upset the most is Big Col whose bought both a new whip and set of waders

:rofl

no need for big Col to be to upset,...he can still wear his new waders and take his new whip ...he will be guaranteed a tug or 2 down Doggers with waders on and a whip :surprise

:rofl :rofl :rofl

Received a mail today from Phil B which reads

'I have temporarily lost access to the forum.

I wrongly promoted KOD to match winner in my last entry.

Can I ask you to correct this with my apologies. Quoting age infirmities as the reason

Regards Phil
'
