For the 'uninitiated' the after match b-b-q and presentation (along with other post match frivolities) is held at Harrisons S&SC

Post code is WS6 6EU

If you have a gander at google maps you'll note the club has an adjoining lawned beer garden

I've recently retired as chairman of Harrisons, but I've had a quiet word with the new chairman to 'explore' the possibility of accomodating a 'tented village' for any of our travelling members if it makes things 'easier' for them............

initial reaction is positive, just needs ratification from the trustees, so if all goes to plan I'm hoping that anyone travelling any distance can, if they wish, travel up on the Sat and pitch up and have a few pints on the Sat night, before setting off for the match which is just a couple of miles away on the Sunday morning.

Ditto - if after the match if they sucumb to too many monster hotdogs - they could 'delay' their journey back till the Monday am [reason]Typo[/reason]

thats a brilliant offer tk, Ive just told the family that we are going away on long weekend break to costa del harrisons

On a serious note its a brilliant offer for those traveling and they will be able to get a pint for a proper price instead of having to take a morgage out for a pint as they have to down the smoke

That sound good TK. It would save between £30 and £50 on B&B plus it would also mean I wont have to share a room with the pneumatic drill that is Mugger.
