before i start on you joff i would like to say thanks alot to brian hull for running the league and doing a great job.also for the 5 teams who turned out every week as with 1 more less team we would have had no league at all.right joff were do i start dont tell me another flying draw yet we only had 2 of the pegs we had last time so i think it must be angling abilty this time Image Image.great league for myself this year 11lb roach this week giving me a total of just over 60lb of roach of the 6 matches and joint 3rd individual of the series missing out on weight to adi reynolds.plus we had jayes 1st individual .the team won 2 matches plus the knockout cup beating trentman in the final Image Image Image Image Image.just a shame you lads never fished as we missed your pools money Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image.all this without super star rob wooten .if doom and gloom had helped us out on the matches we were short who knows Image Image Image

joff there are so many great local matches this sunday to choice from , there is a 12 pegger at mallory in the track theres a 16 pegger at saddington res you could join mallory 100 odd quid or wreak 26 quid that would be a a 20 peg match at best or you could fish some of the localish commercial venues iam sure the venue experts will take a 15lb handicap to help, why would any one want to fish the miles and miles of rivers or canals we have locally
i maybe being sarcastic

it would be nice if we could all get together drop the price of the matches and pay it fairly
i would much rather fish against 30 to 40 then 10 to 15

10 quid pools may get more anglers involved but in my humble oppion thats only a part of the problem
in order for club anglers , or anglers who fish all these 10 to 15 knock ups to take the plunge and start fishing opens there has to be something in it for them, that is and always was the chance of beating a superstar of the next peg ,
the winter league started to die as soon as the peg 16 end peg draw was stopped teams like rank taylor hobson ect kept comming year after year because they drew it they won a round of the winter league and they felt great .
random draws leaving flyers out to make it even ment only the above average angler could win and the below average angler who may win once in a while now could not .
and where are they now fishing club matches or knock ups with their mates
the good teams or individual anglers would always win in the end but they would take their batterings along the way
smaller pools , unfair venues , and superstaras prepared to take the odd beating for the good of the sport .
everybody remembers beating a superstar off the next peg in virtually every detail but can you remember as vividly how much was in the brown envolope
