Why don't you run on individual league within the pairs league.
Everybody happy then
You will always have arguments if you try and handicap
Next year you can then split into two individual leagues or split this one at the half way mark

Truth is, there is no right way to handicap and never will be. Understand the idea, point to it and everyone would enjoy a tight league but it doesn't work. Even splitting it would cause problems as the pairs in 5/6 would complain they couldn't make top 2/3 so wont win anything but would probably make 4/5/6th from overall league and get a small pick up for there efforts. We are in a " COMPETITION SPORT " which involves " COMPETTING " against the opposition, if someone isn't happy they wouldn't join is way I look at it

I go Lindholme and get spanked most weeks but I get a decent days fishing and enjoy my day out and every now and then I get a bit back. For lads in the winter league its exactly the same, some join just to enjoy the day out, some good crack and what can often be good fishing and every now and again they get a bit back, and anyone that doesn't always gets something fiddled by Tamer so they atleast get a drink out of it, and who has ever had a problem with that?? NOBODY!!! He has had this handicap man balls in his head for last 2/3 years, its all bullshit but he just wants to get it off his chest because its his idea, just humour the situation, it passed an hour on while football was touch and go ::) ::) and the silly pair a cunts were PM ing each other to get me going and thought I didn't know Got to get up earlier in a morning than that girls

Stats proposed two league system is the way forward

Maybe drop in a golden peg...rolled over if not won.....or/plus a £1winner takes all on day

I agree with no handicapping but it is quite feasible to run an individual league in and amongst the pairs league for a bit if added interest.
