Me and Gem have got a bet on by the way.
The bet is that I cannot get a double out of rolfs using 6lb line on the pellet waggler.
I reckon I can... She laughed and said no way.
We shall see
Take her money Si, I use 5lb for both the feeder and pellet wag at Rolf's now and it's not a problem.
Mind you the 1st time I tried the pellet wag at Rolf's the reel was loaded with 6lb and the 1st fish I had on it went 14½lbs.

Gem,
Just get a reel with a clutch that works, and not one that's been butchered by your Dad.

Wouldn't be powerline by any chance would it Pete? You can add a couple of lbs to the stated BS if it is

It's open to any and all members of the forum and if you want to fish all you have to do is say and i'll stick your name on the list.
Dont know if you've fished any other forum matches but you'll find at least 98% of those fishing this match do it for the fun and bankside banter (thats if i shut up long enough for them to get a word in)
A word of warning though as i'm organising it something is bound to go wrong and mis-haps will occure as they tend to follow me around.

Others seam to think things always go wrong around me (thats why they all call me THE JINX)
Thing is they are all correct as if it can go wrong then it will, and normally does.
This match is actually on a Friday 17th July as it was arranged only last month and it's impossible to guarantee what pegs you can get there on a weekend, if any are left.

Totally new thing both on here and for me as i aint competitive these days and just fish how i want for fun and dont do that very well (even in matches) and as i personally think i'm of a low average ability a head to head had never entered my mind.
Can't really remember how come i finally said i'd fish it and sort it, guess i just got fed up of everyone telling me to do it seeing as Mike was bigging himself up as the best angler in the world and a pet hate of mine are keyboard warriors.
Mike chose the venue, which just happens to be an old favourite of mine from when i lived in Rugby.
But it'll be a laugh as most that are fishing have not fished the boards area and the banter will flow all day.

I heard a rumour years ago that British Waterways were combining with National Car Parks at a venue near you.
Drayton and Earlswood are part of a much bigger plan. Mark my words.
