AW come on Keith i would not say that.. Image Image

Right i'll give a run through of the best ways for certain area's that should be in the match (not how i preffer to fish though as nobody fishes like me) ::)

The Boards Pegs 34A to 34H

Bagging Wagg
This will proberly account for the best weight of the day from any of these pegs.
Hook bait as with hook lengths vary and it's a case of finding what they want.

Method
Plenty of fish will fall to this but they are normally small compaired to fish caught on the Pole line or bagging wagg, (by small i mean average only about 8 or 9lb)

Pole Line
Bigger fish show on this line and most will be 12lb+

Pegs 34 to about 25

Bagging Wagg
The lower the peg numner the shallow and less effective this becomes.

Pellet Wagg
This works better as the water is shallower and can do good weights if done correct.

Method
Proberly be the top tactic in these pegs with more fish falling to it than other methods.

Pole Line
Can be real funny on these pegs as 1 day it will fish it's head off and others it's blank city (never yet managed to work out why though)

Pegs 25 down

Pellet Wagg & Method
Toss up between which of these is better as they both do well in the lower number due t the shallowness.

Pole Line
Again as last lot of pegs.

Tackle

Bagging Wagg from 8lb main line up. (i use 10lb)
Method same as above.
Pole (a lot of people say dont use it but i like to) some pegs i start on 10lb maxima others i start on 15lb but always have the option of going heavier if needed.
Carp Rod for under the boards i start on 20lb line........

Pretty much your normal fishing really. Image

Hope that helps some.

8lb line is the biggest I have on all my setups except baggin wag which I have 10lb maxima Image Image
So I will have 8lb Korum for Method and 8lb Korum for pellet wag.
crappity smack the pole Image

Dont worry to much as 8lb will be fine as long as you tire any proper fish out before it gets near the platform. :D :D

As for the pole it might sound bad but if you fish away from the platforms/boards then normal carp poles and stuff will cope as long as you know your gears limits. ;) ;)

As for me i just love the rush of a big double hooked under the boards on the margin pole :D :D

Me and Gem have got a bet on by the way.
The bet is that I cannot get a double out of rolfs using 6lb line on the pellet waggler.
I reckon I can... She laughed and said no way.
We shall see Image

I'd say the bet is YOUR's Si as i only use 5lb line on the feeder at Rolfs and if i land them so can you. ;)

she forgets that the rod is a lot more forgiving ;)
