so then i have made a couple of rigs up drennan antennas 4mtr- 5mtr but how do i plumb up correctly any help for this numpty thats askin sum propper daft questions :-/ Image

You gorra decide where you wanna start to fish/expect to catch on the whip.

Down the inside shelf? In the track?

When you've decided which rig is most suitable for the venue - 4 or 5 mtr, start plumbing up 'to hand',

Once you've clocked the 'line' of your float, to assist, you could also temporarily add sections 5m to 7m so you've got the tip of the whip 'over' the float to 'exact' things up and also check out the canal bed contour as the float moves through the swim 

A load easier to show you on the towpath than to describe......... :D

am with you now tk its sunk in quicker that it shud be easy i fish in the shadow ofsome flats and when its sunny it like mirrors on the water of the windows of the flats on each level of the building if you get my drift ;) :)

Certainly do Sharki - that's how i have to remember where I fed what - 9mtrs to the reflection of v of the tree to my right etc...........

Use your pole to plumb up. mark depth with tippex and measure against the whip.

and this from last winter from a stretch thats 12ft deep fishing bread punch seems to get better the colder it is i had to smash the ice that day Image so get wrapped up n give it ago anything is possible even for a numpty like me and the best thing its free fishing Image Image

yeah matey i couldnt get photobucket to load my pics at first but i ended up using an older version then it worked then switched to the latest version then it worked fine Image
as for the fish the one from last year didnt do it justice as there was 17lb odd in as i weighed em some propper dog roach in amongst them :)
