Yeah, it's great to See Tony back fishing. I used to go and sit and watch him on the Alpha matches before I fished them and learnt so much.
He's fishing the Silvers matches at Hemmington now and I'm still learning off him and he's still battering us.
won the last one with 21lb of Roach, skimmers and perch on caster.

Mr Taft, that was a bit low !!! Too many clash with other leagues Andy !!!! Joking a side it is a nice place so why not open the complex up and advertise to get more on it,from what I saw many anglers would like that type of quality fishing but a lot wont do it unless there is 40 plus pref 50 !!
The people that own it might not want this and just have their regulars. I think that Meadowlands do a league on a saturday, similar fishing and get 35 odd.
Have one a month from oct in a league style and let it run for 6 rounds. Advertise it, with bloodworm in and with the quality of fishing people will come.
That's if the owner needs the revenue ?
I will come back though Andy if only to watch You knock your glag up !!!!!!!

lol Richie. I know you have other leagues etc.
I defy anyone to mix groundbait properly in the face of all that heckling Image Image Image

Trouble is the silvers fishing on the other lakes isn't as good and no one would want to be anywhere else but that lake. There would be no problem having more lakes in if they were available though, although that in itself is a problem cos he is really busy with club matches right through.

Personally I never have got this big match thing, I couldn't care less if there's 16 or 60, I just want to go fishing and catch some fish, (but I can't travel any distances now) ( it aint easy to win there either considering the standard of angler fishing )

Done the league thing last year and it is a pain in the backside running it people drift off once they get to the stage they cant win.
Everyone wants to fish that lake cos the fishing is so good, split lakes means you'd have to split the payout cos one lake would win everytime. The size and layout of the lake means 20 is really a max cos of corner pegs.

One other thing is you wont get many locals fishing cos the mentality round here is unbelievable, the old " you can't beat the superstars" and " I aint going if he's fishing, you can't beat him" ( actually heard 2 blokes say that )
Derby must be the worst area for that, you'd never for example get 40 odd midweek like they do on the Starlets vets matches cos of the attitude.
