Back in the late 70s early 80s I used to have a Ken Smith 9 1/2 foot leger rod made by Rodrill. Is that the same Ken Smith in the pic? Also if he`s the one with the Benny Hill glasses and the top of his y fronts showing no wonder I never caught anything with it?

should have saved that one for Movember, given the great Tache that Clive Smith is sporting.
is this pic pre Toulson era then?
Clive's "championship match fishing: ten of the best" is my favourite fishing book, even though it all pre-dates my match fishing, which started in 1984.
I always think of Shaky as the natural successors to Cofton, but is that just because of the ken & clive association?

Welcome aboard Andy
Unless I'm dreaming it, sure i can remember your dad featuring on ATV with Terry Thomas fishing from a boat. Might have been piking? If I'm right, and again didnt dream it, he lost a good un cuss the end of his big cigar caught the line and ping went the line........
But perhaps my grey cells are fading
