Just a note to Al and Graham, and anyone else interested....as yet I have not managed to find my way to the bank this winter for one reason or another but will try to fit in a few sessions next year so I haven't forgotten you guys!!

Having gone through some of dads tackle several gems have been discovered. Among the Titan 2000, Abu 506, Abu 1044 and the Milo match rod I found a heavy glass 10ft rod which I vaguely remember making for him probably over 30 years ago.
It would be perfect for piking along with my Shimano 1.75 test power barbel rod with the Avon top in. I also have wire traces floats plugs and spinners from when we used to holiday on the broads. Seems it would be the right time to dig it all out and join you (provided you choose a nice warm dry day).

Hi Simon - Yes I'm still up for a bit of piking. Spent a few hours at a local lake before the cold snap. Tried dead-bait, plugs, spoon, shads and even sink and draw but not a sniff. Hopefully Cuton Lakes can do better!
