The day was a bright sunny day but quite cool, the gale force wind and heavy driving rain, from the previous day had all but passed over.
on the drive in to the venue it was very apparent with the weeks previous delludge, most of the lanes were flooded and the river penk had also burst its banks and was accross the road in places, driving down the slope to the boat club you could see the chocolate colour pouring in from the boat yard and then going to the left.....
