Weighed seperately it went 'cock on' 2lb on the beam scales Olly - although I think I could have squeezed another dram or two out of it if I'd have 'pushed' for them

Right - after much shuffling and two gallons of Expresso down the neck it’s time to try and put this one to bed……….

Now, anyone reading between the lines should have clocked that this little tale had got more clues than an Agatha Christie ‘who dun it’ as to what actually unfolded - along with the occasional red herring (bet the guys who fished Sat wished they had had a red herring) ………

Starting off with The title - one fish makes all the diff

hardly set the world alight in that first hour…………

those expected regular bites on the punch were somewhat difficult to come by to say the least

But sad to say, the boat did little to liven things up

what was worse, those silvers were not coming as quickly as I would have liked

And more than one reference to ‘praying’

Was it all down to Joffies ‘full moon’ theory with us being on a clearish cut

- or had that solar activity

in the days leading upt o this one killed things off? Or the reality being that the roach move off that section with the cold winds and return back end of March as suggested by Blues4eva.......

But I hear you ask - ‘What about The Hunter with his lackie stretcher and the big black beastie that he netted?’

Well so he did…………….but as Big Col T found so amusing (and he threatened me if I daint include it in this little tale Hunter - so blame him)

So that’s that - a right grueller

to finish on. But what the heck - I’ve enjoyed some great company

, made some new mates
