you had me all excited, i saw the link and title results and thought tk had paid some one to knock them up for him now he's aged and is getting slllllooooowwwweeeerr . I was going to pop up harrisons when id dropped every one off after work to say hello to every one and hoping to get a few raffle tickets, but on my way saw some posts on F/B off TK's daughter so gathered it had all finished and people had started to leave. Seen your picks on F/B si. Theres some cracking pics on there and it looks like all had a good time and had a few fish.
Owell back to waiting for tks report and the RESULTS

THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY AGAIN !!! and what another lovely stretch of canal we fished.i know you said it was coloured a little more than the other ive not managed many photos as a piece of G/B has obscured most of them
i couldn't fault my peg as you will see i just fished it with blinkers on it screamed big fish from the word go and never thought the colour would of effected it like it did
drawing near bicko he soon made his mind up to go for the smaller fish and could see my own mistakes unfolding ::) ::)never mind i went for a walk and had a good laugh with the lads .bill a true gent gave a few tips away about how you can over feed bread as his get had just afew skimmers in it dipper put a solid performance in just the wrong sized fish more later

Simple Match Fishing Cut Championship 2012 Results
Spose I’d better get these results up then
With a change of venue from the Wyrley & Essington to the Cannock Extension made on Wednesday I’d walked and pegged out the venue in my mind with Heinzer. In fact on Wednesday it was spot on – with a nice tinge of colour and plenty of basking bremes spotted in that ‘middle pound’.
The plan at that stage was 1 – 15 in the short pound and 16 to 46 in the long pound
But then the struck on Thursday with that deluge we experienced...........locals will realize that there are a number of inlets that bring coloured water in – in fact if the cut goes a slatey grey, that’s the kiss of death – well at least it is from our experiences on there.
Come the morning, we’d had a few more casualties and were down to a possible 34 – or so I thought
So pegging out, 1 – 12 went in the near short pound with 13 to 35 the other side of the ‘broken bridge’
With a look at the colour – it’s wasn’t that slatey grey, but was a touch more milky than I wished for, although it was ‘dropping out’ in the second section, I personally wanted to draw 13 to 20........after all I didn’t want too far a walk did I
Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn’t it..........although I didn’t realise it till the draw was actually over, the fact is that we’d actually got a few more casualties than expected – a look at the draw board showed we’d only got 24 anglers present – and I could have easily accommodated all within that more preferred section without having a load of spare pegs going.
Anyway onto the match............which didn’t quite go how I personally expected or wanted it to.
In fact instead of an instantaneous response to the white stuff, my first fish came after about 20 mins when I was just about to knock the Bill Yards method on the head. A skimmer............ but his brothers failed to show so I latter moved onto a gb line that that must have decided to congregate on instead.
Only they hadn’t and all I could wheedle out were small roach, which surprised me being as what I’d actually fed – I thought roach supposedly didn’t like F M??????
Anyway I was going nowhere as Goughy came down and reported that some tench, breme and a 6lb carp had put in an appearance in those higher nos. So with it now raining, off I trotted to take a few pictures.
Dazzla a couple of pegs away was owning up to having a few small skimmers and bits as Joffy was fishing ‘long down the track’
(click on the pictures to enlarge 'em)
Venue regular Blues4eva had had a few as well
In fact whilst I turned my back on him he was unhooking another netter
Larry Teepot was next door
With MrV end peg 1 who also netted one as soon as I wandered upto him
I was getting battered !!!
Off I trotted upto the top pound and here’s Digger who MrV reckoned had had 60 fish already
Whilst Gem was targeting the track as she couldn't get across to the feature bush – Simps you are gunna have to book her into a weight training class !!!
Then my batteries died just about as I was going to take Cheslynboys smiling face, so back I went to see what I could wheedle out for the remaining couple of hours......
Onto the moment you’ve all been waiting for.............the results

Just like to thank all for turning out, everyone who donated a raffle prize (or two) and a big thanks for the team back at Harrisons for laying on the B-B-Q – much appreciated.
One last thing I’ve just thought of...........
Apparently the carp in the Extension Canal have seemingly crossed with salmon
Remember that 6lb carp I mentioned earlier............well after a couple of hours in the keep net, it decided to do a bit of pole vaulting and leapt several feet clear of the net and back into the cut !!!!!

I drew peg 27 which was quite a walk but I'm not complaining. I got to my peg and due to a few casualties I had a few spare pegs to my left and Joff's travelling buddy Benny on my right, Cut crack.
Whilst setting up the groundbait hoovers came through my swim...
The cut was looking prime for some bream and tench..
The fish it seemed had other idea's today. I shipped out to my 11m line in front of the reeds and dropped my bait in and fully expected the float to bury within the minute but it didn't :( Instead I had to wait 5 minutes for a slight indication and then a bite which results in a small roach.
Having fished over for an hour I was just about to have a go down the track when I had a little dib on the float which resulted in a nice 2lb bream, it also kept me interested in the far side for another 30 minutes with no more bites
Benny was also struggling for bites and fish and asked me what I was fishing on, I told him pinkie and a quick change for him saw him have a few Next thing he was down the track on the worm and within minutes red elastic was streaming from his pole and up flopped a nice big black bream He went straight back and and had another within 5 minutes That was me stuffed as all I got from my track line was a 12oz skimmer.
Heinzer Off to weigh last years champion. Mr Wedge
Just lost a carp in the final 5 minutes of the match. The Wedge
My catch of 4lb 0oz 4dr
Benny and his bag of fish
Then it was back to Harrisons for the bbq and payout
Digger on his 6th hotdog
Pretty in pink
The fantastic bbq team
Raffle ticket queen, Stefa Kulik
The main man, TK
Section Winner, Blues4ever
Section Winner, Bicko
Section Winner, Harry
Section Winner, Jamie
Overall Winner, Manny
The raffles prizes
Bicko was a bit obsessed with winning the rum
Even after winning it, I dont think he was impressed
Cheslynboy, minus his trumpet
How many you had TK
Another fantastic day with great company, a world away from my normal fishing at Rolfs but it made a very pleasant change
Well done to all the winners on the day
Hope we can do it again next year.
