right! im trying to source some strong barbed spade end hooks for my big carp fishing, as im fed up paying £5 for 10 for my normal ones.. any ideas lads?

YEP barbless mate most fisheries are barbless only the good thing about the B511 is the spade is big so you can tie some strong line to them

barbless are fine for smaller carp,but for the bigguns barbed is the way to go..i would'nt be tying heavy lines to it, i'd be tying braid or the like? the way i see it then, no-one makes a barbed big carp spade hook?

fed up paying a fiver for a pack of 10 hooks with the carp co's..there must be sumone out there that makes em, not only that i like all the different patterns, trout hooks are my favourite when it comes to patterns but they are'nt strong enough

Have you tried the kamasan Animals?????

Good strong hook with a decent spade and available in both barbed and barbless

10 to 20 but they are big for the size, i have used plenty of different patterned hooks and i used to be a big admirer of the B911 but when put to the test at rolfs on the bigger fish i did have a few straighten out on me, never had a problem with the guru hooks.
