You have all experienced the power of the TK and some have also experienced the power of the JINX and MINX. These are indeed powerful forces but pale into insignificance when compared to the force of " THE MUGGER".
No one would be able to hook a last minute tench while "THE MUGGER" is fishing, as the fish are fully aware of the Force and would only accept a bait from "THE MUGGER".
I have witnessed first hand when Vince Gould was finally about to beat "THE MUGGER" from a swim on the opposite side of the lake and in full view of each other. He had a lead of 5 or 6 pounds and was counting down the seconds to the final whistle. "THE MUGGER" it appeared to all of us had given up and just chucked a feeder down the edge to while away time.
Vince looking at his watch was almost ready to cheer when "THE MUGGERs" tip went round and he struck into a 5 or 6 lb carp. Someone standing behind "THE MUGGER" counted down to the final whistle and only got to 8 before the whistle went. Meanwhile the sound of a jaw hitting the platform eminated from Vinces peg followed by the sound of a grown man crying. The scales showed that "THE MUGGER" had rescued his reputation by a matter of ounces and Vince crawled home a broken man hardly able to believe that he had had victory snatched from his grasp by 8 measly seconds.
Joff if you feel you can compete with the legend I can relably inform you that you are sadly mistaken and you will also end up a broken shell of a man should you try.

Joff,
I'll allow you a last minute Tench pulling your elastic before it flies back into your pole as it sheds the hook, as long as you don't object to my last minute double figure Carp that swims straight into my landing net obligingly.

Watch out, watch out, there's a Mugger about

The last time I came out of retirement to fish an open was at Moorlands Farm ten years ago, I took a plastic seat box, a landing net and keepnet, one rod, one tin of sweetcorn, a couple of wagglers, a few tubs of shot and some hooks.
The look on all the regulars faces was a picture in itself.

That will certainly turn a few heads, you may get a nice pike. Dont know if they count though
Simple Match Fishing Forum Cut 'Championship' 2012
I've had a few big carp on a salmon rod and a bread fly.

A few flies stuck in the branches of the farbank trees will contrast nicely with Bills floats.

Doesn't he know the lighted cigarette taped to the end of a pole trick? ::)
Simple Match Fishing Forum Cut 'Championship' 2012
Dont think he does judging by the number of floats he says he loses.
