The pictures really do add something to this TK. It's great to have them and the records available.

Many thanks to MGB for his contributions.

The effort made to take or keep pictures over the years has been well worth it.

A couple of random snaps now..........

MGB, renowned for his exploits spinning for old Essox Luxius off the back of his moored boat at Grove Marina on the Cannock Extension, has been known to land a few on Cashmores matches as well.

Don't believe me...........

Well here's the proof, although with the passage of time, the venues are long forgotton

Four mystery men

A few pictures here of 'faces' from Cashmores matches, but their identities are unknown.......

Anybody add a name to a face?

Perhaps Kim PhilB can shed some light on these?

I'm sure I've seen no 1 somewhere, obviously not on a Cashmores match, but that face certainly rings a bell.......... Image

Lastly Mick picking up the team trophy in 1982 - MGB adds The guy in the pinstripe suit was a certain Mr Fred Bunn who was a high up official in the then Cashmores Sports and Social and although he was not a fisherman himself, he still came to the pres nights to present trophies till his retirement

Another couple of pictures from yesteryear..........

MGB informs us 'Pre bearded Mick on a river bank somewhere, date and venue unknown.
The pipe smoking guy behind him was Mr Dave Ward who was featured in the results of 1974, 1977, 1978, and 1981 winning matches at Upton, Ripple [also KO winner] Hallow and Edgbaston Reservoir respectively'

Another one from the presentation nights from yesteryear - here's Mick Kenn circa 1985 which MGB thinks this relates to the previous year, ['84] when Mick featured as a winner at Court Farm [R. Avon]

The guy in the middle is Alan Wilkes [RIP] who was the uncle of Alan Bishop, and the chap on the left is Pete Turner who was club secretary for a while

The top picture, seems to show the presenter sporting a 'tach ... maybe, or maybe not  :D

Or has he left the paper on after his shaving nick ?

Either way, it does seem to be causing both interest and amusement  :D

TK the venue for the last few photos is the Aldridge sailing club at Stubbers Green.
Peter Turner was a member and we had the club house at a favourable rate for 2 or 3 years.
On the first occasion Jan and I prepared the buffet..
