Many moons ago I used to use a bait dropper quite regularly – particularly on the river, but also even on the cuts those days for certain baits.

Perhaps it’s a combination of

[ch61656] not fishing the same venues these days or as frequently,
[ch61656] almost certainly absent mindedness (as I did fish a deep pool last year where upon reflection I should have probably used a bait dropper to better effect) plus
[ch61656] the advent of cupping kits

that’s almost rendered this piece of kit redundant in my box.

Anyone else still use a Bait Dropper these days? If so when and where?

Got any other (almost) redundant kit you carry with you every time out?

i extend the rod so that the bait is releasted about a foot off the bottom :-? ::)should i be saying this on site Imagetop piece of kit its a big mistake not having one Image Image

trolleys and now barrows -as fork lifts or load loaders become essential

throwing stick as you can't use cattys in holland on the festivals so it was as important as the bait dropper it's a good bit of kit and i can see uses in this country Image
