I'll start of by mentioning PR31s - first started using em about 4 years ago when put onto them by Woodhouse.

Fine wire and a long shank which I need these days cuss of the lack of dexterity with my donnies

In fact I also use em for a few other baits and have managed (perhaps flukily) to land the odd rogue tinca on em :o

or sensas 3530's

Pray tell us more Mr Woodhouse. Just had a gander at em, like that long shank on them too. Although states fine wire are they marginally 'stronger' than PR31s or is it just that the picture of them is deceptive?

3530s have been my choice for squatt for a few years now, taking over from IM1s, when the quality of them went down the nick.

Original Image IM1s if you can get them , the barbless are even better for speed fishing on small fish. Sensas 3530 best allround bloodworm hook , it handles bonus fish no problem Image

Hook patterns like lots of things in match angling are a personnel choice .

Iv'e still got some Au lion d'or hooks that i used to use when it got really hard. Size 28 and 30. Nice long shank, barbless, a good hook.

Drennan Carbon Caster in 26's also used or B511 when on a few.

Iv'e also got a few Red Whisker barb (I think they were WBs) hooks. Never really liked them though, didn't look right for some reason.

I used to bend my B590s regularly Joffie..........

But not as one of Ivans little tricks :D - still got a load of 'em, but that's one of the reasons why I moved to the 31s
