It could produce some good weights at times, but even when it was dire, there was always some fair totty in the boats on a Saturday

I drew slightly higher up right on the 'point' on a club match - that was dire too.......daint know whether to send the stick left or right
6ft on my feet where it had been scoured out
Picked up a few bits off my feet and a few on the wag right over......a peg to forget as far as I was concerned

I was indeed Bass Island, Peg 15...
It was my first ever River match. I had over a lb of bits and a duck on the waggler
I was getting the hook out while another duck was attacking me and also a barrage of verbal from some rowers about harming the wild life

Remember those wednesday opens well Kingfisher. Didn't win any but managed to sneak into the frame a few times - must've been solid. Like you said, the straight was far better midweek too.
