I am sure I did the report on that RAF match. Although the weights looked good (and were good) many struggled. I think a few had hemp roach that boosted their weights. If I remeber right it was fished on a Friday

Thems pegs arent Doncaster AA water i believe joff. They have been used several times in practice matches and are being used again this saturday. They are the minus pegs ie -1 to -89 below barnby dun A & B sections i think ?

well done boys it fished rock hard Sunday again some top boys struggled for a bite ,i had my steady pound for 3rd in my 16 pegs .mind you i had young Dan from markone next to me he managed 34 roach for 4lb 3oz i couldn't buy a bite off a roach although pegs 48 and 47 are renowned good pegs and shallow up out of tanker bay which is 46 to 34 and is the deepest part of the canal buy far the bloke next to me had one fish next to him then a dorking angler and a starlet and a couple of donny lads all caught nothing 4 fish at most and the donny lads sat it out for eels for a good half of the match
i only started catching when i started a newline half way down my peg it was a foot shallower ,bearing in mind i'm not a million miles away from dans line i still only had perch a part from the last two fish of the day which happened to be roach when dan had stopped feeding and was trying his worm line
just hope i'm on a chub peg or a ball of roach come saturday
