Interesting things catapults.

My record for bosting a catapult is 23 minutes into service (elastic went). Pouch has often gone lady lumps up too.
Why oh why can't they make catapults like they used to, - proper elastic and proper pouches?

Reason. Because a catapult would last you too long and would'nt have to part with your pennies to continually buy you knew ones.

The original catapults that came out lasted ten times as long as the crappity smack do now. To give an example I have an original whopper dropped (square elastic) which still sees service and I guss is at least forty years old. The elastic is frayed a bit but it still perfoms. Incidentally if anyone has one of these the you can buy the square elastic from some gun shops Image Image

Nowadays, CATAPULTS ARE CRAP keep forking out guys Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

It's not an original then.

As far as I can recall (home made excepted) Les Prost marketed the first of the commercial catty's. he 'whopper dropper' was simple, a meatak frame with good proper laccy and half a tennis ball for the cup. It was worse than a kick in the nuts if you caught yiou knuckles on them.

trev brought out the whopper dropper in the same year lady DI and charlie got married in stead of a street party we were at coombe abbey we had a boot full of them giving them away billy makin thought they were brilliant until he put a ball 3/4 of the way across the lake Image Image Image Image

the first ones had a leather frame and a red plastic part for the G/B ball it fit in Image
