Geoff..I was being genuine, they read it completely the wrong way unfortunately and got aggressive, it really is a shame because if I have to make the choice between keeping the carp safe or moving them there is only one answer.

The carp (some big uns) will be better off in a BWB water than on a dinner plate.

they stocked at least 10,000 small carp on the canal part of the Lea in Enfield a few years back to colour the water, along with this they put in some floating islands, at first it bought in loads of new anglers who were bagging up and it changed the way match anglers set out their stool, most of the carp have moved off in to different areas although a few remain and have grown quite large, along with the carp went the new anglers but you still see the odd bivvy boys there, us match anglers are back to old tactics for skimmers and roach, as you were Gentlemen and Ladies

Yes, I've got crappity smack all against the anglers that kicked up a fuss on 'that' website, but perhaps they know the facts now?

they also stocked the lea with carp years b4 this! as they wanted to make it a good match fishery, i know because i was given the job of pegging it from ponders end to tottenham locks!!! this was back in the mid 80s..i'd no idea what happened to the lea after this, till i went to fish enfield lock some years later..and i saw the eco islands u mention,i cought a few fish on the pellet at the time.skimmers n roach, dunno if they are still about now?
