pole floats for fishing pellet on the deck

Unread post by jay »

ive been doing mostly pellet fishing lately and the last few tymes out at a local water the bites have just been little dibs on the float, which has been ok when its flat calm coz i just dott the float down to a pimple and am hitting and seing most of them, but when it gets a bit choppy and i need more bristle out the water they can become harder to spot, the floats im using are light enough so was wondering wether anyone had any suggesions on good pellet floats and where to purchase them. thanks again. They break. Image Image Image

I have been using handmades for about 3 years now and have not yet had one break. Mostly a mixture of Wilkinsons Malmans and Hillbillies.

My preference for fishing out with pellet is a Wilkinson Diamond but they are almost impossible to get hold of. Nick Gilberts Deckers suggested by Peter are very similar in shape and performance and would be a good choice.

yeh thats true and dont i know it, the amount of maver pole floats ive boght from the tackle shop at 1.60 a pop and had the eyes ripped out by lumps is ridiculous. really im looking for strong floats that will last more than a coupe of sessions without breaking and the hand made versions do seem sh!t hot on what ive heard.I :) :)
