Made my mind up..................
Sod all this caper with scales etc..........
I'm taking 1/2 casters, 1/2 of big mags and 1/2 of disco pinkie.
And if I do 20lb of silvers someone will be a happy bunny

TK. I will find out defo tomorrow if we need our own weigher. ::) If we do, how about the scales start on peg 1. He weighs any fish or bags, then passes scales to peg 2. He does same etc. etc. That way, unless the curse kicks in, everyone has to have a go. Anyone who does not get called on to weigh during match has to do the final weigh in
Curse Match 12 - Isaac Walton Top Pool
I prefer fishing commercials myself but, why not turn up on saturday and ask the owners to supply someone to do the weighing of fish over 5lb. if they refuse, ask, no INSIST on a refund and then all go down to pelsall cut, i'd be more than happy.

OK chaps. Pin back your lugholes.
Just back from a wander around the pool. Spoke to the main man, and YES we do need our own weigher He says most clubs take or have a non angler with them for just that job.
We have the whole of the top pool to go at, so no need to peg out. He has a map board of the pegs, so if the organiser speaks to him, he will advise you of the pegs to put in/leave out :-/
Now then, on to the fishing
The anglers on the top pool were fairing better than the other pools. It seems the hot weather has not had the feeding frenzy effect yet, but he thinks it may be sock on for Saturday (where have we heard that before :-X )
Lots of small carp coming out, but not consistently. They would have a few, then nothing. From what I saw, you could catch at any depth, as no one method was outscoring another. Most were fishing meat and corn, odd ones fishing pellet. Lots of nasty little silvers (Roach/skimmers up to pound mark) so TK should be happy. Every man was on the pole. No other methods being used at all :-/
First impressions for me was we should have a few, and yes, given the right man on the right peg, the club record will go

Is there gunna be some fun and games with people getting brassed off if my experiences today are anything to go by
Fished a 3 ½ session (before I got bored of catching and reached a 25 fish total)
By my calculations that’s a fish every 8 ½ minutes.
Of the 25, 18 were easily over 5lb and would have needed the scales calling for.

Or perhaps someone fell asleep at the key board
Curse Match 12 - Isaac Walton Top Pool
Someone told me that their old club came across this before. what they did was to put the scales on a nominated peg, then the person who shouted for scales would be the next to do a weigh, and so on.
