Hi all resident experts Image
im ready to buy a new flagship pole as my milo f2300 is on its last legs. its served me well but on reflection it was possibly a little to fragile.
im off to fosters for a waggle tomorrow, to see if there are any lighter/stiffer poles then the Airity (benchmark pole)
Ive looked at the shimano aspire ultra which is a lovely strong pole but abit to floppy at 16mtr, the maver88 very light and stiff but a bit to flimzy, the garbo gmax1000 was excellent very stiff but ive heard alot of no4 sections are faulty and have broke.im very interested in the preston gis14 but not yet seen one( the one pole was to heavy for me) :-/ so any views would be appreciated

Bret take a look at the sensas 774 mate the whole package is good spares are reasonably the joker card is worth its weight in gold and the price is good.Bret I'd try and find a angler with one rather than waggle one around in a shop if your not in any hurry i will be at the site championship and your more than welcome to have a go Image

I had a waggle of the tourney x yesterday and it was awesome, felt much better than the airity I've had a go of before, to be fair the Garbo gmax 800 felt almost as good for 1k less!

just to let you know i ended up buying the preston gis14, its not quite as stiff as the gmax1000 but its quite abit lighter and a better finished pole. Also i know 3 people ho have had gmax1000's and they have all broken on the no4 section.so that made up my mined. fishing sat and sun so cant wait to get it rigged up :D :D

well that was a hard weekends fishing, went to peacock lake on sat and finished 5th with 17lb of small carp only 20lb was 2nd. then i had 14lb of roach at kilburn lake for 3rd as th carp didnt want to know.

The pole is like an aston martin awsome tool and stronger than i first thought it would be. (only problem the kup kit is 2ft to long as ive removed the no1's and not sure what to do to shorten it ?)

any suggestions ? Image

You guys are funny its an aston martin not a lady thing :D
you would have thought for the money it would have the spot on kup kit but hay that costs an extra £10 Image

If i cut the top section and telescope it then it will be about 18" to long and when you need to by accurate with your feeding trying to work out on the but section where to ship to is abit hit and miss as i tried it at the weekend :-/

so i think its going to be another £40 for a spot on adjustable kit or i cut the top section up 2/3 tines and telescope it (could call it a magic step kup kit ?) Image
