Warm tooties - what do you wear?
Warm tooties - what do you wear?
I consigned my MAP boots to the bin last year after the sole split..........after just a couple of seasons.
Still got some original Skeetex boots that I can 'dust off' and use again
But I've got loads of vouchers from last Chrimbo (and birthday) for a local tackle shop - but dont really need owt, unless I get a(nother) new reel go go with that pellet waggler rod I recently bought.........
So I just pondering whether to get some new boots to save them vouchers just sitting in the cupboard
Anybody use these?
If so do you rate 'em?
If not, what do you wear, and why?

I have the original Skeetex moon boots but they were a contributory factor in my going A over T on Sunday! They can be lethal on ice or mud, especially on a down slope!

Was inline for some new boots last year and did a fair bit of research on the dogs man balls of boots and came up with the Tay Sport muck boot, keep your feet warm to -50 and all that, well the fact is ...... They dont,,,, feet were like little blocks of ice, lol

Fin - is the issue that we are relatively static so generate negligable heat over several hours - unlike walkers/ramblers who may wear these types of footwear
I was happy with my Boom boots that lasted me probably a decade and my Skeetex which are now of a similar age except the new liners, but as Waveney One points out, tread aint brill (for either) and walking long distances becomes a bit of a chore :(

I'm sure it is TK , also i dont think it would go amiss to maybe put a bit of carpet on top of your footplate/platform as your feet are plonked on top of cold metal for 6 hrs plus

I wear man's gear, (please note Tevez).
One pair of thin cotton socks and trainers, - never had cold feet in my life.
I also plonk 'em on a footplate.

Warm tooties - what do you wear?
TK I bought some Skeetex Essex boots on Saturday and wore them yesterday.
They are very very warm.
I felt like a cripple walking in them.
They attract mud and it sticks like sh!t to a blanket making walking in them even more fun
Oh and they are warm
£34.99 from Ians. He is doing them cheap because they are the red and green ones and don't sell well because no on likes the colour, I think they look quite dashing
