We had about 3 inches fall in just over 2 hours !!! Even the main roads in coventry were like ice rinks.Took me 2,1/2 hours to travel 2 miles in the centre of Coventry.I think we best start asking the Eskimo's for fishing tips
snow comming down thick and fast in tipton and wolverhampton ,warwickshire winter legue is going to be fun tomorrow. you will need a snow plow to find the ice.
Can anybody remember what them twisty things where the water moves are called ? Think they might become a little more popular if this weather continues.
yes and its only 3 inches of ice its sitting on. . the good thing for me is the walsall canal is only 2 miles down hill from my house,I will get there with a sledge if i have to.
Match abandoned at Tunnel Barn at 1030 this morning, could not believe how quickly it fell !!
Drew at 0800, broke ice (had a good draw aswell!)
Got all rigs ready for all in at 1030 only to pack it all away. I reckon there was around 2 inches of snow but it was coming fast, struggled for 15 miles but when I got on the M42 North bound it was clear, also nothing around Burton ! Cannot believe that in the space of 15 miles I went through a blizzard only to find nothing back home, scary !!!!
Feel sorry for those who came from up north and down south as M42 gridlocked southbound and ditto on the M6 !!!!!!!
open at March is still on tomorrow with over 100 booked on, one of our lads had a look this afternoon and the town stretch was ice free...... i know where i want to draw
Just seen some pictures from there today. It was bloody coming down too
We had that all last night it was unreal ! Just managed to get off the M60 in one piece after a night out ...... loads had to spend the night in their vehicles or just abandoned them on the hard shoulder
