Yes, I drew next to Rip Off; He was on the peg I was on in the practise and I was on the the other shyte hole of a cabbage patch next to it.
The only place Steve could find the bottom was right next to the moored boat, it was moored a little bit further back than when I had it.
We had our usual £1 on it.
I have never trashed so many rigs ever; all my elastics were crappity smack. With all my rigs piled up behind me it slowed the crappity smack bikes down. My FIRST roach came after three hours, what can you say?

I think Rip Off and me kept our section well entretained for five hours though; I though he woul;d have at least one barbel on the meat! He hooked a proper carp that half lifted his moored boat out of the water but I refused to laugh; I was wiping the wet patches off me trainers. The £1 went down well and swelled my winnings this season up to the dizzy heights of................................................................

crappity smack shyte hole; spent over two of the five hours in the cabbages. Had a decent last hour and had 3 lb or so of bits; the things you have to do to win £1. Hee, hee, hee.
Can't crappity smack wait to go crab fishing on the Count Basie. The last time I was down there a crappity smack Gerry woman served my breakfast in a Hotel, I swear blind she had a crappity smack moustache.

Totally agree Joff, team fishing has gone. Don't know if we can muster a team for div 1 as no one wants to fish the trent and some anglers in the squad are only interested in themselves but how do you replace them when there aint any anglers out there

do what i did and threaten to pull the plug mate then it kicks in who they are fishing for
don't get me wrong i have trouble right through untill like you say if its something like the winter league summer league thats local every man and his dog wants to fish it
i think we could of won the winter league final but i couldn't fish the team i wanted too THAT STILL HURTS lloydy i had to put tthree anglers that had only been down a couple of times and the results showed it
i'l fight to keep going but you only have to look at whats happened to the trentmen to see its a very fine line now one minute your fishing a semi final the next your in sh#t street

In our case what the crappity smack can you do.

We had six that would have fished the Trent so we fished for different teams on the Erewash.

It may be a good idea to have a Canal National and a River National every year and do away with Div1 and 2, if there enough river venues out there. Teams fish one venue only; the new PI sponsorship would still apply.

There may be something that stops this from functioning properly, - could be that there would be more wanting to fish the canal than the rivers?

lloydy thats why the super league willnever come back less and less anglers go on a saturday now and the problem is its easy as a indivdual to turn to commercials and once that happens they never come back angling is now geared up for commercials the money is being found for that sector of angling and the longer me and you leave it the harder it will be to keep up with the new breed

Joff, myself scratchcard and ALi helped Dams & Lock out as they only could get 7 of there own guys, as they have been hit hard by other larger teams pinching there anglers over the last couple of years so rather than them droping out and one less team would be fishing we helped them out for the good of team fishing.as we have enpugh anglers to cover division one.
