Jinx Special Evening Match Weekend

Just got back from spending 2 days at Rolfs with the company of some members of these forums.
Friday was to hold a special Evening Match, fishing 6.30PM-11.30PM
Saturday was the normal Jinx Match.

Just like to say thanks to Malc for organising a great few days

I only took a few pictures but Gem has got quite a few and I will post them on the Jinx Site soon.
Budgie had the pleasure of joining us and was quite shocked at the difference between the carp at Rolfs and the carp at Crudmore

Here is Kermit the Frog with a rather nice 2lb+ Perch

I also beat my personal best carp with a cracking 17lb'er on the Friday evening match at 11pm. Playing and landing a big un in the dark is quite a challenge

Didn't fish the Friday night match, just Saturday's Jinx Match.
Good to meet up with Budgie, even though he was looking a little shell shocked at the end of it all.

We really must get TK down to Rolf's for a visit.

What a great weekend. I drew two good pegs but must admit I didnt fish them very well.

Playing a foulhooked 13lb carp on steroids in the dark on the pole is quite an experience and shouldnt be missed.

Nice to meet you Budgie and I hope it was worth the trip to have a go for some proper fish for a change.

Great weekend. Me and Gem did not have time to pitch the tent as we got stuck in traffic on the M6 and M40 so John Bennett let us use one of the caravans on Friday night. Steve Wilson was also staying in it as well.
We settled down to bed about 2am and went to sleep. Unknown to me Steve had got up to go for a walk as he was too hot and I had got up to go to the toilet, I came back in and I 'THINK' I may have locked the door.
Steve returned from his walk to go to sleep and found the door locked

He walked over to Malcs car and woke him up and chatted all night with him
So Sorry to Steve for locking him out the caravan lol.

Well done to Steve and Vince for the double tons on Friday night.
Ryan nearly did the double on Saturday too, congrats mate.
Poor Gem came last both day and failed to add anyone to the Mighty Minx list :(
Spare a thought for poor Vince, after doing the double on Friday night when Mugger was not present he drew peg 36 on Saturday with Mugger on peg 34 and lost another quid to Mr Mugger... Sods law hey.

Cheers Malc,very well organised. Record time for weighing in too I think, even on the night time match. Me and Gem had a superb time cheers.
Thanks also to Dave 'Kermit the frog' for supplying me and Gem with some much needed Tea and Crumpets on the Saturday morning.
Thanks to Sprucey for lending me a landing net after mine got destroyed

After my DNW on the last Jinx match Al thought I was easy pickings and wanted a quid with me. I only just beat him both days by a tiny amount, 1lb and half a pound I think

Im rubbish........

Although consistent at it!

Fishing in the evening and dark was an experiance in itself!!

had a few carp but nothing major, 34lb i think. I did have to give in and pack up 15mins before the end as i was tired and was seeing things that wernt there!!

Weighed in and had a bit of drink, then off to bed in luxury at around 2am

Onto another day, i awoke with my alarm at 10ish..... Si had just woke up 'look at the view Gem!!" wakeing up and we could see the little lake hehe. Lets get in the mood for more fishing

I need time to wake in the mornings, and after a stroll to the toilet and a few hellos i was welcomed to Crumpets and a cuppa Tea

It was perfect, thankyou very much Dave very kind of you

Although the fishing was a nightmare for me i enjoyed the company and banter all the more.
Going to Asda mid match was the cool off i needed

and went back and decided i wasnt going to catch any carp today (all foulhookers came off) and thought i was not going to DNW so i stuck maggots on and caught some silvers!

Dear me! 1lb 4oz i think i had for last place and everyone escaped a Minxing

But im still smiling and enjoyed it very much!

Thanks to John for allowing us to try something new with no mishaps, and to Dad for aranging the weekend and series

And everyone for the banter. Hopefully we can do it all again shorlty

Well done to all the achieved new PBs, winners etc. Last but not least...... dont forget to replace your broken equipment guys

Well what a weekend at Rolf's, all i can say about the place is that i fell in love with it as soon as i arrived

:-*Just like to say a big thankyou to Malc for Inviting me for the 2 days

and can't wait to go back soon i hope

might just do my ton next time

also nice to meet Dave C & Mugger & Al and thanks for info too hope to see you Guy's again soon

And a Special Thanks to Simple & Gemma for being my Escort on the drive down, it felt like royalty

Hot of the press....
One of the fishermen from the weekend has had to have the week off work with extreme exhaustion, having under estimated the strength of the fish at Rolfs.

Cooked himself some extremely dodgy food on Friday night
