First day back with Goodyears for me today. Good to see all the lads and have the yellow stream took out of me for been a part time member  Image
Also good to see JJ's 58 carrot Diamond Earring that he has bought from his winnings  Image Image  Image

I never even set my pole up  Image. I set up a maggot feeder and Pellet Waggler that I intended to fish the Maggot on.
Armed with 3 pints of Ians finest reds, that was it oh expect some corn.

I was also trying out the strawberry GOT baits atomic cloud as I had seen in an article. Fill the feeder with maggots and then cap it off with some atomic cloud.
Boy oh boy it does make a cloud as well, it also make you look very sunburnt with you get it on your hands and the wipe your face with wet hands  :(   :D :D

What normally happens here is the more you plonk the feeder in the more shallow the fish come attracted to the splash, so my intention was the fish the feeder for an hour and the plonk the pellet waggler on top of it. And thats what I did and it worked very well.

While everyone else was fishing for carp I was targeting the silvers with maggots. I did have one bonus carp of 5lb 3oz on the pellet waggler but the highlight of my day was catching these on the pellet waggler about 2 and a half foot deep on double red.....

I had 4 knocking on 2lb I thought and Maybe Roach Rudd Hybrids  Image

Also used my new Carbon Active 11ft mini rod and TDR reel today. Handled the carp easy and handled the smaller fish no problems at all.
Both are a nice piece of kit indeed  Image Image

Results..

Peg 23 J Dawes                40lb 03oz
Peg 18 Simple                  26lb 06oz
Peg   9 Guss Godfrey        25lb 10oz

Peg 16 M Bethell              9lb 14oz
Peg 14 Barry 'Grubby'      9lb 07oz

I was catching Silvers on the maggot feeder TK. Just smaller and less regular. Thats why I was using the maggot feeder, you know what them roach are like Image
I think I needed to put the feeder in to attract the fish to my area. Thats my theory anyway Image Image

tommo was on peg 14 and wako 16 i'd say tommo when the carp start to come on the 3 section to hand line or in the winter when the silvers don't waste to much time if you just find a shoal 8-)
