A Gallon of casters  ;)
With weights over 200lb coming out there's every chance Yamo's record could go.
I know a few people that have had 100lb+ bags regularly on the top pool, I will find out as much as I can and post it here you for you.
You can get a run down of the recent weights and pegs here..... Click "IZAAK WALTON FISHERY STAFFORD" on the left hand side.......

Its fair to say 22 would be a flyer as it regularly frames. Get your draw arms warmed up lol :D

ImageNice one SS although no mention of any methods Image
Not many places where so many different pegs frame regular :o

quick scan over last couple of months results and got 20 pegs already (most framing twice) providing TK's booked the whole pool

that just leaves five or six bad pegs to put in the bag for the BDM :D

To save you wading thru the results link above - here's a summary of peg placings over the last 2 months.

They may be 'skewed' because some of the matches are fished over two pools - so a 2nd place could be the best weight off Top Pool on that day.

It gives you a feel however.............

PEG Places
23 5 1st, 2 x 2nd, 2 x 3rd
34 3 1st, 2 x 2nd
1 3 1st, 2nd & 4th
17 3 1st, 2nd & 4th
21 3 2nd & 2 x 3rd
38 3 3rd, 2 x 4th
28 2 1st, 2nd
22 2 1st, 3rd
5 2 1st, 3rd
9 2 1st, 4th
7 2 2nd, 4th
36 2 3rd, 4th
26 2 4th, 5th
3 1 1st
6 1 1st
15 1 2nd
40 1 3rd
13 1 4th
35 1 4th

No problem.....................

Yamo just shrugs off the pressure after all the experience of drawing cock pegs he's had over the last few seasons...............

Suit me if the curse kicks in

Just pulled the paperwork to post the rules..........

Looks like another fishery that I won't be booking in the future so make the most of it (as well as being £6.50 a peg).

Rules
(In bold and underlined) Plain barbless hooks only - no pinched
(In bold and underlined) All nets to be dipped before setting up
Aint got a problem with either of them but I don't like the capital letters, bold and underlined that state
Anyone found not dipping their nets or barbed hooks will be banned from the fishery
No (in bold) particle baits eg peanuts, dog biscuits etc. No (in bold) Boilies, Trout pellets or paste. (Carp pellets ok) no floating baits
Please ensure matches finish at the agreed time (in our case, 8.00am draw 9am - 2pm) (probably so they can either get another match on or sell some more day tickets)
No (in bold) braided line, max hook size 10 and max line 8lb
next couple of rules are highlighted by a pinker marker with a hand written note at the bottom of the page stating Please copy these rules to your members
Two keepnets each for matches. 1 for carp & 1 for other. All fish over 5lb must be weighed & returned to the pool
Any net holding 40 - 50lbs must be weighed immediately
Every (in bold) person fishing must have their own landing net
All (in bold) anglers will be held responsible for removing any litter found around any pegs including cigarette ends
hemp and groundbait to be used only with permission of the owner or his/her representative
No (in bold) method system. No (in bold) floating poles. All (in bold) poles must have a float
All clubs should have their own public liability insurance as no claim can be made against Izaak Walton Fishery for any accident, injury or loss whilst on the site
Please ensure your members are aware of these rules
Fishing times - dawn till dusk. Not before 6am (in bold)

Oh - by the way - in even bigger bold letters and highlighted in pink is Cafe on site

Suit me if the curse kicks in

Just pulled the paperwork to post the rules..........

Two keepnets each for matches. 1 for carp & 1 for other. All fish over 5lb must be weighed & returned to the pool
Any net holding 40 - 50lbs must be weighed immediately

So I take it as well as a draw to decide the Golden peg, we will be having a draw to see which poor sod has to keep leaving his peg to weigh in all the fish over 5lb and every net over 50lb. What a bloody joke.  Image
What happened to the days of just being able to fish a full 5 hour match, concentrating for the full 5 hours, and weighing in at the end of the match.  :'(
