Muckley Corner?

Unread post by bros »

I have a match on the "newish" lakes 1/2 a mile from the garage on Muckley Corner. I don't even know what it is called! Baz astbury has said that it is a good venue. We are on a new canal, full of small carp.

I suspect that it will be pellet, but ask for any info you may have to help me.

Has anyone fished it? Image

tk id guess that this mystrey venue is pipe hill as the new pool is a canal style pool compared the the older 2. Its not called canal but it as the smaller fish out of the 3 pools.

Thanks gents. Now you have mentioned Coppice Lane, I think that this is it. I suspect that there is little info about it as it has only just opened. I will let you know how I get on.

Thank you

Thanks for the info Tk. As you suggested, I rang the fishery to find out how it was fishing because this pool only opened at the start of March (Bridge Pool).

The bloke was very helpful. He was quite honest and told me it was fishing hard. He even told me what baits to take and I sorted this out on Saturdat afternoon. Unfortunately, someone must have dropped a pack of Viagra in on the day before because it fished "Really Hard!"

We were allocated about half the "canal" and with 16 of us, this gave us 3 empty pegs on our match plus the 2 end pegs. I drew in the middle as usual!

Anyway, when I say Viagra, I meant to say DDT!

I had 2 fish (one of which was foul hooked) and would have weighed 8oz if I had bothered. 1lb 14oz won on the day (5 fish) and it was n't hard fishing because it DID NOT FISH and whatever you did, did not matter!

All of the lakes fished "hard" and our lake was not the only one from which "cheers" were heard when someone managed to hook one!

Go to Curborough instead?

Thanks for your help.

Regards.
