Barston and Packington
How have these 2 been fishing recently?? Crap I`ve heard :( Any info out there???
Barston and Packington
Only second hand info from me im afraid ropa as i havent fished them venues
Barston has been mega tuff by all acounts with no skimmers showing. Tip might come into play on here though as it wasnt allowed in the cips matches ??
Chop worm and caster catching plenty of big skimmers and tench with some big roach on the favoured pegs at packington mate. Could need up to a gram rig if its towing

if its any help packington you want to try straight lead with halibut and fire a few in till you get a rip round
or method with dead red and barston chop worm and caster is the best keep feeding the caster dont fish more than 13m out. try in side line on both venues but you will need to feed the area

went there yesterday on the Drennan final practise, half at Barston, rest at Packington. The man of the moment, Chris V won it with 66lb, the man`s a legend!

Ropa.
The people who are catching most fish at Barston at the minute are fishing squatt and pinkie, feeding ground bait through a fruit shoot top.
Packington somers has turned into a straight lead job, best bait is hair rigged pine apple chunks with a bit of cheese as a back up bait

Think Hallibut is banned at Packington now. Not totally sure but seem to recall some lads in tackle shop moaning about it.
