Or even, have a 15 minute walk to your peg ..... and get told its just as quick goin other way, yet that took you 45 minutes to walk back ?
and all this for 13 ounces .....
and have to sit and watch Bickky catch 8lb 10oz of chub, that all of your section put together wouldn't beat ?
I effin hate fishin at times

Today
I had a very bad day it was warm and no threat of rain and i was working
Today
I've had a really nice day.. Fished the Sturminster Xmas match on the Dorset Stour, I wanted a peg on the flyers next to the bridge, and a very short walk, 3,4, 5or 6, and at the draw the organiser says 'can someone draw me a peg', so in I go and pull out peg 3 Gutted, next its my turn to draw and I pull out 2 pegs as I'm about to drop one back someone grabs it and opens no.5 Gutted, I open mine it's 21, a long walk to a boilly shallow peg, that's called 'Paradise' (because some one caught some chub off it about 20 years ago!!)
As I'm about to load up the organiser who has a 4x4 feels sorry for me and loads me up, drives across the fields and drops me at my peg.
After 1 1/2 hours I have 3 roach for 1/2 a pound and have called Ian who's on peg 3 , who tells me that he has had a roach a chuck, as have everyone around him, but they were getting Pike trouble.
After the umpteenth time I trotted down the peg the float goes under and chub no.1 about 1lb is in the net 8 more follow and I end up with 9 + 3 roach for 16lb. Thinking that The others on the bridge pegs have sacked, I pack up and follow the scales, 3 9lb's and 2 8lbs are in my section. So I won that I wait for my lift and but Ian take's ages, maybe loads of weights?
But on return to the draw I found I won it the results are as follows:
1st Rich Chave Garbolino BVMG 16.0.0 peg 21
2nd Rich Hanson SPRO Raiders 14.6.0 peg 5 ( the one I drew)
3rd Ian Paulley SPRO Raiders 13.14.0 Peg 3 ( the other one I drew)
4th Dave Rigby Sturminster 13.12.0 Peg 6
5th Simon Dennis SPRO Raiders 13.4.0 peg 7
6th Brian Preston Sturminster 9.15.0 peg 22
So unbelievably I drew the first 3 pegs!! So that's my luck all used up for the forthcoming practice matches at Bathampton were its end peg or bust
