Curse Match 7 - Chubbs

Unread post by TK »

Well the key to the gate is sorted..........Roberto is picking it up. Don't forget to get there by 8.15am so we can get all through, up the track and 'peg out'

Last set of rules I'd got were
Barbless - no larger than a size 8 Image Image Image
Hooks will be checked by a roving baliff - anyone with barbed hooks in use will be asked to leave.
No braid
No litter - also remove cig butts

Bait bans
Dog biscuit
Hempseed
Boilies
Peanuts
BW & J
Pellet and Paste
Groundbait

2 nets must be used - one for silvers, one for carp

Anybody got any predictions?

If the Cashmores curse strikes as per usual probably lower weights than we had on the T & M canal at Armitage  Image
Knowing naff all about the place, it may be a case for me to go "back to basics" with the tip rod and the waggler  ::)
Is it a "proper" stillwater, a "commercial type" or what?? Any advice would be much appreciated  Image

Paul, attack it like you did the Willows and you won't go far wrong :P

Si, I think a 'waggler' is a term used for what a maggot does when you hook it Image

LOL, I use a sweetcorn tin with some water in the bottom, then put it in a plastic bag for the return home.
I may add a 'Offbox' bracket to it so I can attach it to the legs on my box  :P

normally id look forward to chubbs but this year i predict a cashmore's ballacre.Given the atrocious weather and low pressure i think silvers might be the answer for this match. i too will be fishing the tip in an attempt to snare a beastie. im gonna predict a winning weight of 25lbs with back ups in the teens.im not gonna make msitake of sitting out for carp all day if they aint going like last year, silvers all the way for me.think TK and his ringer FERT have brainwashed me and converted me to a canal/silver fish addict

Yamo - me thinks it's time to change your signature to..................

FERT MODE IS THE FUTURE - particularly as he appears to have made such a lasting impression on you as you tussled for supremacy in that epic battle on the cut

Can't wait for the FERT v Yamo rematch - sure I can flog a few ringside seats for that one

:D :D :D
