Well, as only Tigerbay has expressed any interest in this one, I'd better post the results

PEG
Weight
1 Rolly 0.6.0
2 Heinzer 15.15.0
3 Brambles 7.0.0
4
5
6 Mick Kenn 16.2.0
7 Cotti 14.6.0
8 KOD DRY
9 Fatty Kendall DRY
10 Yamo 16.14.0
11 Harry911 2.1.0
12 Gez 6.4.0
13 Big Geoff 28.0.0 1st
14 Worminator 12.14.0
15 Lasher 21.8.0 3rd
16 HaHa 21.15.0 2nd
17 Ball it in Baker 6.2.0
18 Zorro 11.0.0
19 TK 10.0.0
20 Phil B 7.9.0
21
22 MGB 6.8.0
23 Drynet 10.4.0

The 2 golden pegs (1&9) produced a grant total of 6oz, allowing MGB to breathe a sigh of relief as the pot remained safe and secure.

And a dry net for KOD probably finally ended his attack for the club champion title.

Not a lot left to report from me. Had a total of 5 tugs.

Fished it SOB as previously stated my intentions.............no messing about after silvers.

The first bite was an hour into the match but ended with a decent fish coming off on a dipped top 2 after playing it for several minutes. A couple of mins later a 2lb jobbie was in the net saving a dry un.

Had to then wait 3 hours plus for the next 2 bites which were successfully landed. A further bite with half hour to go saw another fish come off the hook after a 30 second tussle.

So 5 bites, 3 fish for a level 10lb………………enthralling action, NOT. Is it any wander I still prefer to catch 2lb of gudgeon.

Woodcote – lovely place, the 5 hours fled by but I’m personally glad it’s having a ‘rest’ for next season……………..

We were on Priory, the 'top' (middle) pool JJ

There were signs of fish down in the rh bottom corner this time......but them pegs daint produce - ask KOD & Fatty :P

Image

I really wanted to draw in the Japanese sniper pegs on the car park side for the first time ever.........but it didnt happen (again) :'(

Image

In fact two pegs over there didnt come out of the hat...........typical :(

Failing that, I wanted on the dam wall.............and the other peg not to be drawn...................was just there too - with Drynet and MGB hiding behind the other two bushes

Image

Final pickie - and its still raining and brollies up down the far end by the pipe

steve ringer as always said (he told me 2 years ago) if theres a jacuzzi in one of your lines, then move to another line as the fish are gill feeding whichis making the jacuzzi.

you and harry should really have done better here
you had the weather, the tips... i

Just because tk and harry had your info doesnt mean it would of worked for them. Every one as different way of fishing, the air pressure changes, presentation is different for different people. A few years ago i had a match at herion brook and neil and martin both gave me that much info i knew everything but the fishes name. On the day in the match i totaly f**ked up as the wind was that strong it was impossible to fish more than top 3 and because both of them had said pole only i hadnt taken my feeder rod and everyone else was on the island with feeders Image Image. Now adays the only info i go for is depths, size of fish ect and fish it my way

Nice report and pics TK My main handicap other than being a crap fisherman was being hemmed in by bamboo either side. They were that close i had a struggle to position my brolly. As carp weren't showing early on I swapped my carp rig for lighter tackle and went for silvers which proved to be crafty and shy biting. After having my hook bait stolen several times I eventually tempted 2 decent roach on caster. Then the inevitable happened and a 6lb common led me a merry dance on my light rig. All in all not a bad day out. Only my second time on this pool shame it's being dropped next year TK.
