Just 6 fished today - we're definitely struggling with the numbers at the moment.
Eva has had a lot of landscaping work done with bushes etc removed, and in particular the roadside bank has been re-worked and flattened out and extended by a metre or two into the lake to provide a stable and shallow bank, planted with new bankside vegetation. This is the bank we fished today.
Fishing was in pleasant warm sunshine with light winds and with spawning reportedly over, but nevertheless the going was hard with most of us trying a variety of methods and swims near and far, up and down, to sneak out the odd fish. Today's winner was yours truly with 54lb thanks to a late run of 2lbers from an unpromising looking margin (they all look the same at the moment); John H fishing a short walk on the platform after his recent op, was 2nd with 37lb.
