Providing Boris doesn’t change the plans we should be able to start this season with this match. We should be OK to follow the same procedure as last year for the draw and payments. Don’t forget to check if you need to renew your licence.

Hi Dave,

Hope all is well with you and all other Marsh Members and guests.

I am glad the planned match at Monks is going ahead on the 10th April, however, with covid still active I am not prepared, having come so far, to travel the distance required for the match. Like half the population i have had a single vaccine and awaiting the second. Attendance and matches will change once second dose has been achieved.

I have started going fishing again, so that's not the issue. It's about being "local" and I cannot justify Kent as " local". I am also not fishing the Yam Yam matches until later this year as above.

If you can PM your bank details I will transfer the subs into your account.

Hope all goes well with the match but I feel it's still a little too soon.

Regards Keith

Do you want the subs transferred into a bank account, if so, like Keith, can you post or PM me the details and how much.

May have to leave quick after the match, as I have my second jab booked in Saturday night, yippeeeeeee

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and testing my new gear :D :D :D

Keith/Clive,
Obviously respect your views guys but from 29th March you are permitted to travel to take part in exercise and organised sport, can't see any mention of any distance involved as long as it's not overnight - just sayin'

Keith and Gino I have sent a PM with payment details

If anyone else would like to pay by Bank Transfer please let me know and I will send details as it will probably be easier than on match day. if your fishing at Monk include the match fee and pay £50, if not £40.

Hi Dave

Payment sent for the season ahead. :thumsup

As it turns out I am booked in for my second jab on the 10th so would not have been able to make it regardless.

I saw Mick the other day and was still catching down the edge as he always does. Getting whiter and rounder with age but improving slowly. He was never one to rush. :fistycuffs

Terry

Yes fully aware of the rules regarding exercise, but I do not class driving 2 1/2 hours to a venue to exercise then 2 1/2 hours back. As a nation we are getting there by being responsible for our actions and at present I am only travelling within an hour until my second jab has been done. Remember I am lucky to have been given the first jab, let alone the second in a few days time. I know of others who have not had any. So in my eyes the threat is still very real.
I know you are not knocking me and just stating the rules around travel and exercise :thumsup . It is simply a personal thing for me.

All

Whatever you individually decide to do, is fine with me. We are all adults and can make our own mind up. I hope you all have a great day on the 10th, one less flyer I was bound to have drawn :rofl

Sign me up please Mr Chairman! Kyle won’t be in attendance as it’s his better half’s birthday (also known as Si’s daughter). I’ve pinged John Drake to see if he fancies it too.

Happy to give a hand pegging it, do we know what we're being given, or is it numbers dependant?

As mentioned on the other post, I’ll most likely be paying guest fee until we have some dates in the diary, as long as that’s ok?

I usually ask for the centre spit so that we stay away from day ticket guys ( pegs 12-33), though they may suggest we have the far bowl (23-44). As we only have 10 max then 2 banks is all we need.
I have more bookings I havent updated yet.

Hi everyone glad to see you all back up and running and looking forward
to a new season. I to have just started to venture out but like last season
am not able to travel to far as I do still get tired from the drive. At the
moment Kent is still a bridge to far for me as I have to travel alone. I will
be doing as many Essex matches as I can and will see how I am later in the year
for a longer journey.
Dave I will also send you my fees by transfer and will get your details from
Keith on Tuesday. So as you have already guessed I won’t be at Monks on
Saturday but if it is Arrons next I will be there. Also I will need a short walk
this season please.
Good luck all for Saturday and see you soon

Good to hear from you Mick. After what you said last year I wasn’t expecting you to do the Kent matches.
I’m sure no one will have a problem with the short walk. Look forward seeing you soon

We have the back bowl pegs 23 to 44.
If Chris T turns out we will have 9 of us if not only 8 so 4 on each bank. I will need a volunteer to do the pegging and the draw.
Maggots will be available from the shop.

Usual 8.30 draw fish 10 til 4.
