Fished Cuttle Brook on Saturday. Very difficult what with all the crap coming down. Four of us fished and we only caught 1/2 dozen fish between us. 4gr alloy stick required, but too much weed coming through.

They did well to catch that above us, either that or we really are rubbish.

I'd been watching the level all week. 1.09m untill the rain came, we needed it, just not that much. Rained all day Friday. I was setting up our Caravan in it, got soaked.

Masses of streamer weed came down, tried fishing the feeder, 3oz would hold with a big bow, but I just got wiped out by the weed. Shame really, coz the other guys had traveled up from Cornwall to fish the Trent and for our Charity weekend.
