No 4 is a bit of a bitch! Add LA Galaxy to the list of teams that have contributed this feat to football yet Everton haven't.
Definitely a 'Who'd of thought it' answer to this one

The ex-Arsenal player you are missing is a bit of a toughie as he only played once for the first team and that was in the League Cup. That is a clue on its own, another one that he still plays for a Premiership League side but this season, to date, as far as I know hasn't played yet.

Villa 1957 Pat Saward olayed, he was Irish.
Believe it or not when Preston won the cup they had more Scots than English on the pitch including a fella named Bill Shankley.
However, I cocked the question up because I should have said at Wembley so Aston Villa is right,in 1897, 1905, 1913 and 1920 - the manager was Scottish though! In Vill'a other FA Cup wins 1887 and 1895 ot was dubious as to the name of some of the players; in those days more than a few put alias's down for whatever reason, not just in football but nearly all other sports!
The other winners who were all English was in the 50s.

If you concentrate on the extra team LA Galaxy, that should be a big help.
15 Not Owen Hargreaves, he was like Julian Cleary compared to the answer
As well as breaking his leg five times he broke his nose four times broke his cpllar bone, cracked ankle bone, chipped spine, lost count of how many broken toes and fingers and had over 200 stitches throughout his career. I played against him half a dozen times in his amateur days.
I am nearly 66 to give you an idea of his age.

we never had a manager until the 1920's the team was selected by Ramsey and his committee was the other team Wolves

You are right Dave with Aston Villa, Damsey's post was secretary as were a few clubs of that era. They do tend to get listed as secretary/Manager though in most record books.
Wolves is not right but you are so close. Wolves had Finlayson in goals in 1960, - I though he was English but he was actually a Scot. They also had a South African called Des Horne that played anyway. Jimmy Dunne, 1949 was also Scottish.
Then we go back to the early days and the same as before, players under assumed names; must have been a right lots of crooks around then cuz you only had to nick a couple of sausages and you were behind bars!! Probably accounts for the odd assumed name somewhere. Didn't a Villa player see one of his neighbours off or somthing like that years ago?
You might get the other team now, two years before Wolves

Bolton it was 1958,
The amazing thing about that Bolton side was it was put together for precisely nothing.
All that side were home bred or joined on a free transfer.
To find, 3,4,6,8,9,12 and one player in 13. some are very difficult, 4 is a kick yourself job, so easy to overthink it! Then again I've got the answer here

No.s 6 & 14 are both Hartlepool
Is no.4 summat to do with them being founders of their respective 'associations'?
No.12 never?
Is no.15 Denis Smith? (age n location sort of gave it away)

For some unknown reason Exeter went on a tour of South America in 1914 where they played against Brazil amongst other teams. It was reputed to be Brazil's first ever match as a country
All spot on except number 4. You'll have to go up a different path for that one
Add LA Galaxy to the list of teams and that helps a lot Everyone has gone too deep into this one
Only 4, 9 and one player to get on 13
