Saturday saw 30 anglers on 3 lakes, Carp Lake, Old Canal and Clover. slightly down on numbers for this round as a few were away on the Rivefest final and the Drennan 2 day festival at white acres.
The Old Canal fished better this time, putting less anglers on it seemed to help so there'll be a max of 9 on it in future so every other peg in. The Carp Lake fished a bit harder than usual but the Clover fished really well, I think this lake will throw some good weights up throughout this series.
Rob Wooton was best on the Carp Lake peg 16 with 22lb 7oz of skimmers and Roach on caster at 6 metres while the Old Canal was won by Mark Godfrey on peg 6 with 20lb 4oz made up of 2 chub, 8 skimmers and around 8lb of roach on caster down the track and tight across. The Clover was won by Andy Taft with 29lb consisting of around 18lb of skimmers half a dozen small tench and the remainder roach to 6oz all on caster at 6 metres over groundbait.
