The final round of the Oxford summer league was fished by 6 teams of 6 on the Thames at Medley and Folly. After a number of cold nights the river has started to clear but this seemed to stir the fish on Medley into a feeding spree and all the top weights were from the Medley stretch.
1st John Taylor - Tubertini Apollo - 20lb 6oz. John drew in the Perch bay on Medley and had around 8lb of roach, perch and hybrids on the pole and caster and then had the rest of his weight on the waggler with tares on the hook over hemp feed. The fish on the waggler were mainly hybrids.
2nd Alex Graham - ISIS -18lb 1oz. Alex drew in the trees at the top end of Medley and had 2 chub plus a net of roach on the pole and caster over groundbait and caster loose feed.
3rd Chris Telling - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths -16lb 10oz. Chris drew in the perch bay and had perch and roach on worm and then caster on the pole.
4th Tony Hobbs - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 14lb 10oz
5th Geoff Lewendon -Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 11lb 7oz
