So it’s logical – well at least to me as treasurer – to move Saturday’s match to the Coors waters on the Trent and Mersey Canal (host of this year’s National), at Rugeley. We’ll fish the ‘Priory’ section which is just past the old power station entrance on the A513 Rugeley Road. The usual 9am draw etc......
The right decision of course, just not for me though. Iv'e only recently got back into fishing and was looking forward to fishing the Trent. Fishing the canal however isn't going to grab my attention in the same way. Not just yet. Sorry.
All the best on Saturday everyone and i'm sure i'll get to "Guest" on one of your other Trent matches in the future.
Arch.

KOD - stick WS15 1PL in your sat nav. Thats the postcode for the Ashtree pub.
The cut goes under the road from your left to your right by the pub
Carry on for about 500 yards and just before it goes under the road again back to your lhs there's a layby by the cut

Just been and checked out the pegs and parking. Room for about 15 - 20 cars right by the canal in the layby. Head towards Armitage from the Ash Tree pub. Go across a small island, then about 400 yards on your right is the entrance to the layby. Permanent pegs are well spaced and clearly marked on the concrete, so I will make some draw cards up to save re-pegging.

Would suspect max attendance will be 18 (prob 16 in reality) with the 'suspected casualties' to be added to the list at the top ::)
