Here is the result of the third round of the Soar Valley Angling Trust Winter League fished on Sunday 27th October 2013.

Mark Pekins fished a pole at 6 meters, half his weight consisted of four big perch on worm and the rest of his weight was made up of roach on pinkie and red
maggot.

Tony Marshall fished bread punch for catching 150 small roach.

Tom Potter fished worm over groundbait on the long pole for a catch of skimmers plus one tench.

Lucky enough to be able to watch Tony on sunday.  Have to say it was made to look so brilliantly simpe.

he did this week as well completely different day yet make it look simple in that wind and i bet he was the only angler to fish the bread  ;) ;) ;)

sat and watched Tony no rush plenty of time to talk he is right on top of the game i wouldn't of said it was the best peg either

GAME OVER
With the condition of the River soar Brian made the decision to move the 4th round to the canal.pegging some on Quorns water and others on loughborough's waters and included Zouch canal. it turned out to be a very patch canal with most of the teams suffering the odd bad result .
Other parts of the canal fished outstanding and for one family a first and second on the individual front
Barry Jones of Leicester sensas pegged on the swing bridge length put together a winning weight of 11kg 040' [around 25lb] skimmers and roach with the odd perch in amongst them to almost double his dad Rob Jones Leicester sensas [perhaps Rob wishes he hadn't showed all his little tricks ] in second place with 6kg 350g from Zouch peg 6 next peg to Rob on peg 7 Jim Shooter Wigston AS 5kg.900g for 3rd again on the same section Zouch Chris Greenside Dynamite Matrix Dynamite Trentmen managed 5kg 450g 5th Paul Taylor Wigston AS 5kg 230g from the swing bridge section and in 6th Nick Moss Leicester sensas 4kg 900g
On the team front Leicester sensas have opened up 8 point lead over their nearest rivals Quorn who stuffed a really bad day at the office finishing 7th on the day
