Loughborough Soar canal open !!!

With the soar championship being canceled today and will be rearranged towards the end of the year when the weather warms up so Brian hull ran a match on the Loughborough canal

Here is the result of todays open match fished on the canal.

Open Match Sunday 10th November 2013
Loughborough and Zouch canals 51 fished.

1) Boz Phillips ( BK Maruku) 7.350 kg Bishop Meadow peg 8

100 plus roach on pinkie over groundbait at 5 metres.

2) Darren Bickerton (Starlets) 6.850 kg Bishop Meadow Peg 10

100 plus roach on pinkie over groundbait at 10 metres.

3) Tom Pringle (Wigston A.S.) 6.200kg Zouch peg 6
Roach and perch on maggot and chopped worm plus a chub of 2 kg.

4) Sid Baldock (Quorn A.S.) 6.075kg Bishop Meadow peg 6

5) Harry Wilkinson (Leicester Sensas) 5.900kg Bishop Meadow peg 7

6) Acer Cooper (Mansfield) 5.625 kg Bishop Meadow peg 5

Lee it was a far better colour than last week Bicko was on the Chub peg on the long straight caught over his G/B and pinkie all day
Boz who won the match came all the way up from cornwall he lives perhaps 30 miles off white acres

still a good weight of fish in fact everyone down there had 4kg

another great days fishing on the canal but it didn't start off that well !! ever drawn a peg like this

do these things ever happen to anyone else

Lucky for me it was every other peg and Ant King was on the end peg and move up to the end of the boat and then i'd have someone to talk too

needless to say he walked the section with nearly 5kg i was second with 2kg970g
